Science in Sports FAQ

VIEW ALL FAQS →

Do I need to take Science in Sport GO Isotonic Gels with water?

No. Science in Sport GO Isotonic Energy Gels are uniquely designed to be consumed without water. The isotonic formula allows the gel to pass through your stomach quickly without pulling fluid, preventing stomach bloating and delivering fast carbohydrate energy directly to your muscles when you need it most.

How and when should I consume SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gels?

Consume 1 to 3 gels per hour during exercise to hit your target intake of 60g of carbohydrates per hour. Because they are isotonic, you can swallow them directly from the sachet without needing extra fluid, though you should still drink water to stay hydrated throughout your session.

What is the difference between SiS GO Isotonic Gels and SiS Beta Fuel Gels?

Standard GO Isotonic Gels provide 22g of fast-digesting carbohydrates per sachet for everyday endurance sessions. SiS Beta Fuel Gels are engineered for ultra-endurance or intense efforts, packing 40g of carbohydrates in a 1:0.8 maltodextrin-to-fructose ratio. This allows your body to absorb up to 90g of carbs per hour without gastrointestinal distress.

How does SiS REGO Rapid Recovery work and when should I take it?

SiS REGO Rapid Recovery is a complete recovery drink designed to be consumed within 30 minutes post-workout. It combines 20g of high-quality protein to rebuild damaged muscle fibers, fast-acting carbohydrates to replenish depleted glycogen stores, and essential electrolytes to restore hydration balance.

What are SiS Hydro Tablets and when should I use them?

SiS Hydro Tablets are zero-sugar, low-calorie effervescent hydration drinks formulated with essential sodium, potassium, and magnesium. Drop 1 tab into 500ml of water to maintain fluid balance and prevent cramping during intense training sessions or on hot days when you don't need additional calories.

Are Science in Sport products tested for banned substances?

Yes. Every product in the Science in Sport line is triple-tested under the Informed-Sport certification program. This guarantees that all gels, powders, and tablets are free from banned substances and completely safe for competitive and professional athletes.
