HYROX Race Fuel Strategy
1. Before the Race: Pre-Race Energy
About 30 to 45 minutes before the race, take 1 SiS Beta Fuel + Nootropics Energy Gel / Maurten Gel 100.
This gives your body a fast source of carbohydrate energy before the race begins. For HYROX, this is useful because you need energy for both the running sections and the functional workout stations.
You can choose SiS Beta Fuel + Nootropics Energy Gel if you want energy with added focus support, or Maurten Gel 100 if you prefer a simple endurance gel that is easy to take before racing.
2. Start of Race: Keep It Light
At the start, avoid taking too much fluid or fuel at once. You want to feel light and comfortable during the first run and early workout stations.

3. During the Race: Mid-Race Energy

4. Hydration Strategy: Roxzone Hydration Stations
Use the hydration stations in the Roxzone for small sips when needed. Do not drink too much at once, as this may make your stomach feel heavy during running and stations.

5. Final Stages: Stay Focused and Comfortable
In the last few stations, avoid taking anything too heavy. Your body will already be under fatigue, so the priority is to stay light, focused, and comfortable.
If needed, take small sips of water or electrolyte drink, but avoid overloading your stomach close to the finish.
6. After the Race: Recovery
Within 30 to 60 minutes after finishing, take 1 SiS REGO Rapid Recovery Pouch / Amino Vital Gold 4000mg Sachet.
This helps support recovery after the repeated running, sled work, lunges, burpees, and wall balls. After HYROX, your body needs support for muscle recovery, energy replenishment, and rehydration.
